ExtractionDrift names the movement of an extractive logic from its initial object toward new materials, bodies, territories or forms of value. Extraction rarely ends where removal first occurs. Its infrastructures, financial expectations and administrative habits seek another substrate once the previous one is exhausted or contested. Drift identifies this displacement without assuming a single centre of control. The operator follows the mechanism as it changes scale and object while preserving the same relation between appropriation, externalised cost and diminished capacity for renewal.
