A form persists because parts are replaced, meanings are revised, uses migrate and relations are reconstructed. The remake is not a replica of an origin; it is the cumulative result of interventions that preserve recognisability while accepting change. The operator separates durable identity from material sameness and asks which transformations allow a form to continue, which destroy the relation that made continuity meaningful, and who decides where that threshold lies.
