FormatAdmission names the operation through which a form, template, interface or protocol determines what may become institutionally recognisable before its substance is examined. Claims enter systems as fields, categories, file types and measurable units. Necessary compression becomes political when the limits of the container are treated as limits of reality itself. A condition that cannot be formatted may never receive a visible refusal; it simply fails to appear. The operator asks what must be removed, translated or misdescribed before a case can enter, and whether repeated failure at the threshold can force the format itself to change.
