SensibleOpening names a spatial, perceptual or linguistic alteration that allows a previously imperceptible relation to enter common experience. The opening may be minor: a changed route, a new comparison, an uncovered trace or a redistributed frame. Its importance lies in altering what can be sensed before agreement about meaning has been reached. The operator describes the threshold at which a condition moves from private impression or structural invisibility into a shared field where it can be named, contested and acted upon.
