CategoryEmergence names the process through which a resistant case stops being treated as an anomaly and begins altering the classificatory structure itself. The operator does not describe merely adding another label. It appears when repeated misrecognition reveals that the grammar of categorisation—its exclusivity, scale or evidentiary assumptions—must change. The case becomes knowledge about the grid that failed to contain it. CategoryEmergence therefore shifts authority from the system that classifies toward the realities that expose its limits, while preserving enough stability for collective recognition and action.
