ResilienceMisreading names the interpretation of endured damage as evidence that a structure is functioning. People, ecosystems and institutions may survive abandonment through improvisation, unpaid labour or accumulated tolerance. Their capacity to continue is then celebrated instead of read as evidence about the pressure they were forced to absorb. The operator identifies the political conversion of structural failure into individual virtue and asks whether resilience expands collective capacity or merely normalises the withdrawal of support.
